For those of you with 3G cell phones, head off to 3G Upload dot Com and download a wide variety of free ringtones via 3G. Remember that you need a 3G enabled cell phone! Below is a list of a few 3G/Edge phones from Cingular:

Cingular / AT&T have 3G available in Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle so if you're one of the lucky few, get a 3G phone now! It's the next generation in mobile communications! At the moment as I understand the service is running between 2-3MBPS, so not yet fully 3G, more like 2.5G. Still doing fine though.

Europe, the East and Africa has 3G already and it's growing rapidly. There are lots of infrastructure changes though so it's not easy to implement. Patience is a virtue!

Most of these free adp ringtones are not suitable for LG or Phillips phones as they are too large in file size. The ones smaller than 30KB should work though.

Well, so you thought when you unbiasedly clicked their link in Google... They have now managed to put all the sites claiming free ringtone downloads together in one. Please note, I'm not slagging the service itself, I'm complaining that they claim it's free when in fact it's not.

The culprit? Crucial Ringtones.

They do however mention it within the pop-up before you order your 'free' ringtone. Once again another reason to read the small writing before getting 'free' ringtone downloads! It's another fine example of subscription services with the first ringtone free, but you have to send a word to a certain number to make your weekly subscription stop...

Well, I dunno, just don't like the thought of it.
